Coming “out of the coffin” is but one of The Authority’s many agendas. Vampires have more at stake than anyone when it comes to saving the planet.  After all, today’s vampires will still be around centuries from now.  If humans destroy the planet and themselves, there will be no natural habitats or food sources left for vampires.  For this reason, The Authority has been developing “green” technology for over 100 years now.  Mr. Compton has been involved in this project since aligning himself with The Authority in the 1980s.
